When Sharon Wachsler became disabled by chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome (CFIDS) and multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) life suddenly became absurd: taxi drivers told her "Get well soon," while medical specialists said, "Your tests are normal and you look fine." Confronted with the daily frustrations, indignities, and peculiarities of life with chronic illness she started drawing cartoons that depicted her experiences transforming anger into comedy. Sick Humor Postcards take a disability rights perspective on life with disabilities providing laughs of recognition to people with disabilities and education and insight to those without.
